Carers Wales
Carers Wales exists to make life better for the hundreds of thousands of unpaid carers in Wales who help to look after family members, friends and neighbours across every part of the nation. It would cost Wales over £10 billion per year to replace the care provided by unpaid carers, yet carers are often forced to forego careers, sacrifice their health and wellbeing and risk financial hardship because of their caring role. Tempo Time Credits is a unique and innovative tool developed by Tempo. Time Credits serve as a community currency that individuals earn for volunteering their time in various community projects and initiatives.

Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale
Age Connects Cardiff and the Vale offers a lifeline to vulnerable older members of our local communities who may be facing loneliness and isolation with little or no family support.
The impact of isolation, loneliness, and poverty can have a devastating effect on health and wellbeing. Far too many older people know just how this feels. Last year alone Age Connects supported over 6,000 people.
Our support services include offering benefits checks, toenail cutting, befriending support, help with daily tasks such as shopping and handling correspondence and much needed companionship.

Samaritans
Samaritans is a helpline service available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Around 800 volunteers work in our nine Welsh branches, and respond to calls via telephone, e-mail, text and in person – at our branches or at events across Wales.
We also work with the media to inform the public and explain how we can help people find their own way forward.
We reach out to groups where there is a high risk of suicide. We work in partnership with other agencies to achieve change locally, and inform policy decisions that have an impact on suicide risk.
