Policy & politics
Community groups play a key role in the fabric of many Welsh places, supporting and sustaining critical social infrastructure and providing opportunities for local people to meet, have fun and access urgent assistance if required. Building Communities Trust (BCT) offers communities funding, support, opportunities for sharing and learning, and the chance to influence decisions affecting them. Invest Local is an innovative community development programme, with people at its heart, running in 13 areas across Wales. It provides £1m to each area, to be invested as local residents see fit, in order to achieve their goals. Join BCT to hear from its Invest Local Officers and Invest Local programme participants as they share their experiences, challenges, and the lessons learned from the Invest Local programme so far.
