From crisis to outcomes: GISDA’s approach to supporting vulnerable young people
June 17 @ 10:20 am - 11:10 am
In Wales, many young people are unemployed and experiencing severe anxiety. This session will present how GISDA works effectively with vulnerable and homeless young people, and the role of early‑intervention hubs in tackling the issue. The team will discuss the importance of co‑production, young people’s rights, and the individual voice, as well as their therapeutic approach to working with and understanding young people who have experienced trauma.
This is an opportunity to learn about their wide‑ranging work: within hostels, the effectiveness of alternative education, mental‑health support, creative and leisure interventions, and how everything comes together to secure positive outcomes.
