Unlocking budgets for prevention
June 17 @ 2:30 pm - 3:20 pm
Wales spends money dealing with problems that could have been prevented, yet prevention budgets are often the first casualty of short-term financial pressures. Investing more in prevention across all sectors is essential to improve our collective well-being in Wales. Preventative budgeting enables better outcomes for health, the environment, our economy and our culture, benefiting people now and in the future.
In this session, you will discuss the role of voluntary sector collaboration in the planning and delivery of preventative spending across our public services. The session will also introduce a new tool for preventative budgeting, exploring how this could help shift budgets towards prevention.
