Children in Wales is one of the leading providers of safeguarding training in Wales, reflecting the specific legislative, policy and geographical context, with a strong emphasis on promoting the voices of children and young people. This seminar will provide an insight into up-to-date guidance and changes relating to safeguarding in Wales. Attendees will consider good practice around their policies and procedures. The session will explore the importance of having a competent safeguarding lead within their organisation, and how and why they should be auditing the effectiveness of what they are doing in this essential area of their work.
