Trustee indemnity insurance – know the importance

Regardless of an organisation’s legal structure, its Trustees/Board members remain exposed to potential claims against them for alleged wrongdoing. Cover is available to protect the organisation as well as its Trustees against such claims. Legal Defence costs to successfully defend a claim can be expensive. Arranging cover is a strong recommendation and, indeed, may be required by newly recruited Trustees and perhaps before they join. This session looks at the cover provisions and will provide a few claim examples to demonstrate the type of allegations that can arise.
