Understanding Welsh Places (UWP) is a digital tool born of the collaboration between the IWA, Carnegie UK, CLES, Wiserd and Welsh Government. It offers a unique service: making data about small towns and places in Wales accessible in one place, in a fully bilingual format. The upcoming publication of the 2021 Census data promises to be a watershed moment in making comprehensive up to date information available, with potential to improve our services. In this workshop, you will learn about the UWP tool, its potential for your place, and have the opportunity to contribute your thoughts on where it could go next.
