Mental health
This will be a structured conversation, led by Barbara Chidgey, founder and Chair of the charity Daring to Dream. Daring to Dream supports the emotional (not mental) health of the 1.2 million adults in Wales living with illness. Research confirms that talking about our feelings assists a more rapid recovery from acute crises, supports living better with chronic illness, potentially reduces the risk of also developing a mental illness on top of the physical illness.
A focus on emotional health is a game changer, says Barbara Chidgey (founder of Daring to Dream) for those of us living with illness, our families and carers and for NHS Wales.
