Data Breaches: Handling Data Breaches in the Charity Sector

June 17 @ 2:30 pm - 3:20 pm

Data breaches can happen to organisations of any size, including charities. In this session, the ICO will explore the most common types of data breaches seen in the charity sector, the mistakes that often make things worse, and practical steps you can take to prevent and respond to incidents effectively. They will also discuss when issues need to be escalated and why “burying your head in the sand” can lead to more serious consequences. Attendees will hopefully leave with a clearer understanding of how to recognise, manage and learn from data breaches.
